Novak wants plan for stabilization of prices for winter diesel fuel
MOSCOW, Nov 3 (PRIME) -- Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has ordered the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Energy Ministry to draft a plan of stabilization of prices for the winter diesel fuel in Russia in the 2023–2024 winter season, the government said in a statement on Friday.
“Before the next meeting of the center for the internal market of oil products, the service and the ministry should present a plan for stabilization of prices for the winter diesel fuel for the entire period of demand for it, and also to present measures for counteracting the disparity of prices in the wholesale and retail segments,” the government said following a weekly meeting of Novak with the representatives of the oil companies, the Energy Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry, and the antimonopoly watchdog.
He also ordered the service to control the retail prices for fuel in the new regions of Russia, in the Far East, in Siberia, and in the republic of Dagestan. In addition to that, the service should ensure that the retail prices for all types of fuel at the fuel filling stations do not grow faster than inflation, the government said.
At the same time, there is no deficit of fuel supplies to the national farmers. Demand of the sector’s consumers has been satisfied, and the prices were balanced out, the authorities said.
